We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist with a deep understanding of molecular biology techniques to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary molecular biology group. How you might spend your days:
- Solving problems related to molecular techniques including high-throughput cloning, vector design and engineering, PCR and DNA purification
- Providing expertise in the design, planning, and execution of experiments independently or in collaboration with your teammates, both within the molecular biology team and as a member of cross-disciplinary agile teams
- Assisting in development, integration, and optimization of new techniques in our high-throughput recombinant antibody platform
- Analyzing, summarizing and presenting key data sets and results, including written reports and oral presentations
- Training and mentoring members of our dynamic team
- Communicating project updates and deliverables to our industry and academic partners
- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures

Required qualifications and experience:
- A PhD in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology or other relevant field) with a preference for post-doctoral experience in genome editing or (single) cell biology
- Substantial expertise in advanced molecular biology techniques including library construction, high-throughput cloning, vector engineering and design
- Experience in genome editing, (single) cell biology, mammalian cell culture, and bioinformatics are all assets
- Experience in an industrial or production lab setting with high throughput capabilities is a plus
- A basic understanding of antibody structure and function (don’t worry, we’ll get you up to speed!)
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
